Penang’s Middle Bank : Second largest Seagrass bed at Peninsular Malaysia

Not many people know that Penang hosted the second largest seagrass bed at Peninsular Malaysia, with the largest found at Tanjung Kupang, Johor. We have the privilege to be invited by Penang Seagrass Project on their 3rd expedition to the Seagrass bed located at Penang, which also known as Middle Bank. The main purpose of the trip is for educational purpose, part of preparation for the Seagrass Exhibition which to be held in August and lastly, making awareness to more people about this hidden gem of Penang.

These are some of the pictures taken on the day, it was a very short stay at the seagrass bed as the low tide window time is just too short to cover enough land for a first timer whom are overwhelm of the experiences.

This is one of the odd opportunity to photograph the Sunset scenery of Georgetown from middle of the Straits of Malacca. Its also a bless to have a great sunset moment just before we are leaving. You can see the water started to cover the ground around me when taking these sunset photo, featuring Karpal Singh Drive in the skyline
